Sherri L. Cox is the Founder, CEO, and Executive Director of iCAN Global Ministries and a seasoned public-sector and nonprofit leader with more than 30 years of experience in government, workforce development, and justice-impacted reentry systems. She is recognized for building coordinated, results-driven programs that advance equity, restoration, and community impact.
Bringing both professional expertise and lived experience, Ms. Cox, a certified Transformational Coach and Thinking for a Change (T4C) Facilitator, brings a people-centered approach to leadership grounded in faith, accountability, and service. Her career includes senior leadership roles with the American Red Cross, Greenpeace, and Catholic Charities, as well as executive service as the Returning Citizens Liaison as a quasi-partner within the Office of the County Executive in Prince George’s County.
Through iCAN Global Ministries, Ms. Cox continues her commitment to mentoring emerging leaders and advancing pathways to opportunity for justice-impacted individuals and families.
In her spare time, Ms. Cox enjoys traveling, cooking, fishing, and interior design activities that keep her grounded, creative, and inspired.

Currently incarcerated within the Bureau of Prisons for more than nine years, John has transformed his lived experience into purpose-driven leadership. During his incarceration, he discovered a deep passion for mentoring younger men entering correctional facilities, helping them navigate their new environment with guidance, accountability, and hope.
An accomplished writer and poet, John has authored multiple pieces reflecting his nine-year journey and was the winner of the Spit Dat poetry competition. He also demonstrated strong leadership and analytical skills by leading his team to first place in a mock trial competition in collaboration with Georgetown University.
John brings invaluable firsthand insight to iCAN Global Ministries, offering compassion, understanding, and lived expertise that inform the organization’s mission and outreach. He is also the creator of From the Orange Desk, a newsletter that will shares reflections, experiences, and aspirations, amplifying voices from within the justice-impacted community.
As Vice President, John plays a vital role in fostering integration and collaboration across iCAN Global Ministries. His perspective, faith, and leadership continue to strengthen the ministry’s impact and vision.
Upon his release, John looks forward to reuniting with his sons and establishing his life in the Prince George’s County community, where he will continue his work in mentorship, ministry, and service.

In this role, Kim is responsible for ensuring iCAN Global Ministries maintains a strong and consistent presence across all social media and digital platforms, expanding awareness of the ministry’s mission worldwide.
A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Kim relocated to Jacksonville, Florida with her husband, Deke. She brings a passion for connection, communication, and strategic storytelling, using digital media to amplify the voice and impact of the ministry.
Kim’s leadership supports iCAN Global Ministries by strengthening engagement, increasing visibility, and ensuring that the organization’s message of faith, hope, and transformation reaches communities both locally and globally. Her commitment to excellence and outreach plays a vital role in advancing the ministry’s mission and growth.

David Marshall currently serves as chairman of the Social Justice Ministry (SJM) at the Shepherd’s House International Christian Church in Upper Marlboro, MD. As a social justice advocate, he conducts workshops nationally and serves as a newspaper columnist. David Marshall writes for the Trice Edney News Wire where his weekly syndicated opinion columns appear in Black-owned newspapers nationally. The newspapers include the Washington Informer, Seattle Medium, and Philadelphia Tribune, among others.
He is a graduate of Norfolk State University with a B.S. degree in Construction Building Technology. He currently lives in Bowie, MD, and works as a certified construction manager.

Angel Carroll has dedicated the past decade to advocating across various platforms, including testifying before the Texas Supreme Court, which led to the establishment of the Texas Judicial Commission on Mental Health, where she has served on the Collaborative Council since its inception. She also designed an award-winning alternative to incarceration program for 17-24-year-olds in Williamson and Dallas Counties. At 23, her work was recognized with an appointment to the Texas Juvenile Justice Advisory Board. After earning her degree from Texas Tech University, she returned to Central Texas, steadfastly committed to serving her community.
Currently, Angel is the CEO & Executive Director of Angel Carol Consulting Group. A consulting group that collaborates with nonprofits and government agencies to implement best practices for engaging with vulnerable populations in the child welfare and carceral systems.
In addition to her professional roles, Angel serves as the Vice President for Black Austin Democrats and the Williamson County Young Democrats. She has volunteered on several boards across the state, including the Alumni Board at the LBJ Women's Campaign School, Texas Tech Alumni Association, SAFE Alliance, The Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown and Eastern Williamson County, and the Lioness Justice Impacted Women’s Alliance.
