iCAN Global Ministries is a faith-based, community-driven nonprofit committed to restoring lives impacted by incarceration and building pathways to long-term stability and purpose.
Founded by Sherri L. Cox, a returning citizen, reentry systems leader, and transformational coach, iCAN was created to address the real-world gaps people face when coming home from incarceration. We understand reentry not as a moment, but as a journey that requires support, accountability, healing, and opportunity.
Our work began in Prince George’s County, Maryland, one of the state’s highest reentry jurisdictions, where the need for coordinated, compassionate reentry services is urgent. Today, iCAN Global Ministries operates with a national lens, developing models that can be adapted and replicated in communities across the country.
We walk alongside individuals and families through every stage of reentry, offering mentorship, workforce preparation, education, behavioral health support, housing stability, and leadership development. Grounded in faith and guided by lived experience, we believe that people are more than their past and that transformation is possible when support systems are strong and communities are engaged.
At iCAN, we don’t just help people return; we help them rebuild.
